…..from the Pastor’s desk

We are now in the holy season of Lent – a time of preparation for, and anticipation of Resurrection Day (Easter).  May it not be approached with a “ho hum, here we go again” attitude, for if it be true that Jesus of Nazareth, dead and buried, arose from the dead and is alive for evermore, it is one of the two most noble truths of life.  The other noble truth is that this Jesus was “God in the flesh”, God’s Word, God’s communication with all of humanity.  Ask yourself this, if you dare; “Do I believe this?”  Holy Week Services are as follows”

Ann von der Misten

Charlie and Ann have gone before us in death and we miss them!  Charlie enhanced the life of Union Church for decades with his warmth of person and a fine voice in the Choir, which lifted our spirits.  Ann, too, was a person of warmth and enriching the life of the congregation with her faithful presence, and her joy of life; “lebensfreude” in her native tongue.
