…..from the Pastor’s desk

Christmas is coming.  As a celebration of the birth of the Christ it will not only be a time of rejoicing in his church, but will overflow into the unbelieving world with its theme of peace and goodwill to all humanity!  The believer knows that what matters is not our circumstance, our comforts, our present satisfactions, but the Christ of whom we say to all the world, “…here is your God!”

We are all hostages of the unknown future.  We know nothing of what may happen tomorrow to us, or to our world.  We make our plans, and we should.  But for me there is only one point in that dark tunnel in which I see a sure and a certain light.  I see Jesus who has traveled every step of the road of life; Jesus, the Lord of love; Jesus, the Victor over sin and death; Jesus the Savior, and I say to you, “….lift up your voice with strength…lift it up, do not fear…here is your God!”  For that reason, let us eat and drink…for tomorrow we live!
