Union Church is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was built in 1921 in Pocantico Hills, which is below the Kykuit estate. ​  We are non-denominational and welcome all faiths and  beliefs in God. ​  We are an open, inclusive community worshipping and serving God together.

Step inside to be surrounded by the stained-glass windows by European masters, Henri Matisse’s last work, the Rose Window and ​the nine windows by Marc Chagall.   Enjoy the choir and music of our Memorial Pipe Organ commissioned to Sebastian M. Glück ​

About the “La Rosace” , the Rose Window. Designed by Henri Matisse.  The creation of “La Rosace” involved Matisse’s colored paper “cut-outs,” the artist’s medium of choice in his later years.  Matisse completed the design a few days before his death.  The artist died before the window could be fabricated, but his daughter, Marguerite Duthuit, discovered the completed paper maquette at Matisse’s home and took charge of the commission, which she invested with great emotional significance as her father’s last creation.  “La Rosace” was dedicated to the memory of Abby Aldrich Rockefeller on Mother’s Day, 1956.
